Croatia is a haven for ‘sun worshippers', a gourmet's delight, and its untouched countryside offers many opportunities for cycling, hiking and even mountaineering, making it an adventure destination.

Croatia is known to have the best coastline in the whole of Europe. Slovania in eastern Croatia is not a very popular destination. But even here, there is Osijek, the majestic city along the river Drava which is worth visiting. There is Vukovar, which suffered the worst ravages of the civil war and is rebuilding itself with a heroic zeal. There are castles and vineyards which beckon the tourist.

The long coastline is ideal for water sports. There are many islands and marinas, which offer ample sailing opportunities, such as the Kvarner region on the Istria peninsular. The annual Vanka Regule extreme sports festival is held every year on the island of Brac.
